What is ibuprofen?

Ibuprofen is a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID). It works by reducing hormones that cause inflammation and pain in the body.
Ibuprofen is used to reduce fever and treat pain or inflammation caused by many conditions such as headache, toothache, back pain,
arthritis , menstrual cramps , or minor injury.
Ibuprofen is used in adults and children who are at least 6 months old.

Side effects

More common:

• Abdominal pain
acid or sour stomach
• benching
• bloating
• Cloudy urine
• Decrease in amount of urine
• Decrease in urine output or decrease in urine-concentrating ability
• Diarrhea
• Difficulty having a bowel movement (stool)
• excess air or gas in stomach
• heartburn
• indigestion
